Hugh Jackman Film Festival: The Fountain

Today was day 12 of my festival
The Fountain was the movie of the day
and while I admit I was skeptical
some parts of the movie blew me away.

Hugh Jackman's unlucky in love again
for the love of his life's slowly dying
he was in so much pain for just one man
and by the end of it I was crying

Before today I had heard mixed reviews
but didn't know many who had seen it
now I only have praises to construe
I really liked this movie... I mean it.

And one more thing... I was also enthralled
to see Hugh Jackman is beautiful bald!

Quack

Once there was a chicken who liked to quack
but don't ask me why... that's just what she liked
and pretty white feathers covered her back
they blew in the wind when she rode her bike

As she rode through town people stopped and stared
why was this chicken quacking and riding?
but after a minute they said "Who cares?"
and went back to their own business minding.

So the chicken rode and people ignored
each happy to live within their own world
but there was a girl the chicken adored
and so together the girl danced and twirled

So what is the moral of this story?
You shouldn't write sonnets in a hurry

Hugh Jackman Film Festival: Deadly Love

(Spoiler Alert for lots of Hugh Jackman movies)

I know that I mentioned this yesterday,
but Hugh Jackman's lovers meet tragic ends
In the X-Men movies he loves Jean Grey
She dies and then contributes to this trend

In The Wolverine Jean's death eats away
another lover dies in The Prestige
and in Van Helsing his love he does slay
plus Kayla dies in the first Wolverine!

In Australia he thinks Sarah is dead
In Les Mis he employs Fantine who dies
Then in Swordfish, Ginger fakes it instead
it turns out she's evil and full of lies!

I do wonder if this worries his wife:
that loving Hugh Jackman ends women's lives

Hugh Jackman Film Festival Day 9

Today was day 9 of Hugh Jackman Fest!
I wonder how many days I'll get through
This decision has been one of my best
but there are still movies I must pursue!

While Hugh Jackman's roles may greatly vary
I have noticed a few things about them
not only are they all vary hairy
but they have a few more things in common

For one, none of these men like to wear shirts
(about that you'll hear no complaint from me!)
women seem to die when with him they flirt
his outside is tough, but his inside's sweet

I've got 6 more days of Jackman movies
after that I'll just have to wait and see!

Cracker Conundrum

"Why are there so many types of crackers?"
I stared at the aisle and thought to myself
Oh why can't these companies be slackers?
Do they really need to fill all these shelves??

I just needed something to bring for lunch
maybe something to go with ham and cheese
I expected a few, but got a bunch
the thought of choosing brought me to my knees

I stood there staring with my mouth agape
eyeing all the crackers in front of me
then I noticed the ham's peculiar shape:
A circle!! Then so should the cracker be!

A note of triumph was heard in my voice
...until I had to make another choice

Teacher Work Day

Tomorrow is the first teacher workday 

Of this school yeah that has just begun

The students may get to stay home and play,

But teachers have another kind of fun.

While it may be true that we have to work

We also have the time to get work done

No students are there to drive us berserk 

Or there to get our progress down to none

Don't get me wrong- our students are great

But sometimes the days are just so crazy

We can spend the whole day just running late 

We'll be unproductive but not lazy

I'm ready for some productivity 

And to be the best teacher I can be 

Loom of the Fruit

Today I got up and took a shower
then I dried off and put on my clothes
I left my house in about an hour
it was normal as far as mornings go

I got to the school not a minute late
and got set for the day ahead of me
pretty much the whole day was really great!
we spent all are time in the library

I went home and I went to the bathroom
then I looked down and I saw a surprise!
A pair of inside-out fruit of the looms
that for hours I had not recognized!!!

But yet... being inside-out did no harm
Could this somehow be an odd lucky charm??

Hugh Jackmans Butt

Today's movie was this box office flop
that holds such a special place in my heart
while the ratings did not put it on top
in its own way it was a piece of art

At a certain point, about halfway through
Hugh Jackman runs naked across a field
I ask: What is a girl supposed to do?
I looked at his butt; my sadness was healed

Matthew McConaughey's Butt is nothing
compared to these beautiful buns of steel
the first time I thought that I was dreaming
but I pinched myself and saw they were real

I don't have much to say about the plot,
but I couldn't stop staring! Would you not??

Hugh Jackman Film Festival: Swordfish

Today's Hugh Jackman movie was Swordfish
I had never seen this movie before
though I must admit that my only wish
was for him to leave his shirt on the floor...

Hugh Jackman plays an infamous hacker
who has recently spent two years in jail
the movie is a real action packer
that leads the viewer down many false trails

John Travolta plans to steal some money
relying on Hugh Jackman's hacking skills
Hugh Jackman thinks that the plan is crummy
but he needs the money to pay the bills

All-in-all Swordfish was not a bad film,
and I'm glad that I bought it on a whim

Hugh Jackman Film Festival

I'm at the Hugh Jackman film festival
well... I'm having one in my living room
Sure, the attendance may be rather small
but that's no reason to be filled with gloom!

Friday I went to see The Wolverine
and Australia was yesterdays feature
for both I stared intently at the screen
as I enjoyed these films at my leisure

The Prestige was the movie for today.
In this tale of magic and betrayal
it's a scorned magician Hugh Jackman plays
in a somewhat neurotic portrayal.

I'll have to wait for tomorrow to see
what the day's Hugh Jackman Movie will be!
