I am not ready to go back to work
can we have another week of spring break?
It's not that the children don't make me smirk
just that I'm not ready to be awake
I wouldn't just waste the days sleeping in
I've got plenty of things I need to do
some extra hours would help me begin
all the assignments I need to get through.
I'm beginning to feel the stress of school
these assignments all coming on at once
but I'll carry on like a stubborn mule
I will not let myself become a dunce
I'll be ok, but I'd just like to keep
A few extra hours each day for sleep
