Today at preschool we took a field trip;
it was just a short way around the block.
The warm summer sun made sweat start to drip,
and yet it wasn't too hot for a walk.
Over thirty children we took with us,
around the corner for frozen yogurt.
Our class did not need to take a school bus,
as the kids listened and did not get hurt.
We got to the shop and our cool delight
we all sat and enjoyed the frozen treat
and everything was happy and bright;
all had as much as they wanted to eat.
We went out the door and into the sun
all knowing that we had had so much fun
