Rush

My first summer session is almost done.
In just three days this sprint will be over,
but rather than finding out that I've won,
right away I will enter another.

I am glad that I will be done so soon,
and that I graduate in December,
but then I remember it's only June,
and I've still got to get it together.

I know that I am going to survive,
but sometimes it feels like a bit too much.
I know that soon I am going to thrive,
but some days I'd like to slow down a touch.

I know that some day soon I will make it,
so 'til then I guess I'll have to fake it.
