I did it! My fountain pen's in the mail
I simply can't wait for it to arrive
Other pens in comparison will pale
I feel so excited and so alive!
How will it feel just to hold such a pen?
I admit I can only speculate…
I'll try it on monday and tell you then,
but I know in my heart it will be great.
I've never owned a pen so nice before,
and I'm hoping that I don't mistreat it.
I'll probably need ink refills galore
before my smooth writing has succeeded.
I guess I'll just have to wait, then I'll see
how writing with this pen will really be
